From Ercolano to the center of Naples
The production and trade of fabrics was a top activity of Vesuvius area since Roman times. In Herculaneum, during the visit of the excavations, we can see a perfectly preserved wooden press, which was used for ironing clothes. The modern city of Resina, built over ancient Herculaneum, is now famous for the Pugliano market with many shops selling second-hand and vintage clothing, footwear and accessories. From there, we go to the historical center of Naples, to breathe the atmosphere of the Academy of Fine Arts, founded by Charles III of Bourbon, the enlightened King who supported Art and Culture. It’s here that the duo of entrepreneurs studied and formed their clothing brand “Yo Soy Feliz”. In their shop along Spaccanapoli, if possible, we meet Germano and Federica to listen to their story, a story of effort, creativity and success, all made in Naples.
